Le fete des guides is an annual event that is all about the mountain guides that work around Chamonix. There are ceremonies to welcome the new guides, and to honour the guides that have passed away while at work. There are also plenty of festive activities. Every year the guides prepare a spectacular show at les Gaillands which tells you the history of the mountains. The show includes acrobatics like climbing, canyoning, tyroliennes etc.
