The 2 star Hotel des Lacs, has been around since the 1930’s and still maintains the same traditional French look with large blue shutters over its many windows. The hotel is situated 1km from Chamonix near the tranquil Lake Gaillands, giving you a peaceful base in winter and summer from which to explore the Gailland mountains and the ski tracks.

Tennis, golf and swimming are readily available and the Aiguille du Midi, a popular tourist spot is also nearby. In the winter just hop on a bus or train nearby and it will take you to the bottom of all the best ski tracks.
