Probably the best bar in the world!

Monkey bar is a popular place for locals and tourists alike. The funky and easy-going atmosphere, live music, local DJ’s and long happy hours attract a friendly and young clientele. There is free pool and Wi-Fi here, and a simple terrace where you can enjoy a beer in the sun. Monkey bar also does food; there are burgers, curries or fish and chips for example.

Le bar Monkey est un bar très connu et apprecié de Chamonix par locaux et les touristes. L'atmosphère funcky et détendue, musique en live, djs locaux, et des longs happy hours attirent une clientèle jeune et amicale. le billard est gratuit ainsi que le WIFI.La terrasse est là pour profiter du beau soleil. Le Monkey bar sert egalement des plats: burgers, curries ou fish and chips par exemple.

First time I was in Chamonix I stayed near the monkey Bar, Been to Chamonix many time and not found a better bar, Good Value, Service and ambiance, people walk miles to get there for the happy hour, including me

Goah visited here in August 2009 at the age of 17 as i was staying up the road in le praz for 2 weeks with a french family. I will remember the barbeque we had on the green. Im coming back in summer 2010 to work in a refuge :D would be great to meet all the different nationality locals again: Mark, Terry, Yoga the dog, Nick Cribby the canadian and swedish girls and the kiwi lads. Great time and i hope to find ya on facebook :P Monkey bar is deffinatly somewhere worth visiting if your staying in Chamonix.

very chill atmosphere. 1 euro pints during happy hour. met some of the most amazing, memorable people (on my trip) in chamonix sud; my heart's desire lays there, i can't wait to visit again some day. mark, frans n mona, boz, terry, et cetera et cetera...you guys kick serious &**&)! live easy as always, luke xX

Friendly staff and very helpful with for local information on skiing, good live music early evening with welcoming atmosphere. Food was good too.
