Chamonix Centre 0033(0)642 68 03 90

Snowshoe walking means exploring the winter wilderness of the Alps on foot. It is ideal for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, particularly summer hikers looking for a new experience and winter visitors who are non-skiers, or seeking a more peaceful and scenic alternative to downhill skiing.

Winter in Chamonix is all about winter sports like skiing and snowboarding, but look a little closer and you'll find there are loads of other winter activities to try in the Chamonix Valley too, so even if you don't ski you can have fun in Chamonix.

As well as a good choice of ski and guiding schools (essential if you fancy skiing the famous Vallee Blanche off piste itinerary), Chamonix offers winter activities like snow shoeing, Husky dog sledging, cross country skiing, ice climbing and tandem paraglider flights, proving that Cham is so much more than just a ski resort.
